The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the first team to play in the Super Bowl at their home stadium - a momentous occasion for the city and its residents. However, the 31-9 domination over the Kansas City Chiefs was soured by the looming threat of coronavirus pandemic, 10 months after the virus first reached the Tampa Bay area.

The stadium only allowed a few lucky fans, and the usual tailgating grounds were blocked off - leaving Buccaneers fans to celebrate this historic moment in the surrounding neighborhoods. The region in the shadow of the stadium is historically black and low-income, the neighborhood is known for die-hard Buc’s fans and a famous row of strip clubs. Of course the Super Bowl is normally known for luxurious parties with celebrities, but this time victory was celebrated on streets and porches illuminated by the lights of the stadium.
